COVID-19 Operations Update
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread American Emergency Products is doing our part to protect the health of our employees, their families, and our community; while still providing the essential public safety services our clients rely upon. In this rapidly changing world, our commitment to you remains the same.
Service Requests
Our tech teams are in the shop and available for essential service requirements and vehicle upfitting. At this time, and until further notice, all remote service work has been suspended. Please call or email your local office to make an appointment for service. When your vehicle arrives at any of our facilities, please allow additional time for the service work to be complete. AEP has implemented a newly mandated cleaning protocol which includes disinfectant spray of the vehicle's interior surfaces and a "dry out" period. While essential in protecting the health of our employees, this adds additional time requirements. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
Current Status
On March 19, 2020, Gov. Gavin Newsom issued Executive Order N-33-20 requiring all individuals living in California to "shelter in place", except as necessary to maintain continuity of operations of the critical federal, state and local infrastructure sectors.

Gov. of New Mexico, Michelle Lujan Grisham, gave a stay at home order on 3/23/2020 to stop the spread of COVID-19.
An essential business is defined as the following: A business that provides services needed to ensure the continuing operation of state and local government agencies. Agencies that provide for the health, safety, and welfare of the public.
American Emergency Products has been declared an essential service company by numerous federal and local law enforcement agencies, as a disruption in their fleet operations would have a critical impact on emergency response capability and public safety. American Emergency Products is exempt from the "shelter in place" directives as an essential business to the public safety sector.

In support of Federal and CDC recommendations for social distancing, American Emergency Products has reduced office staffing. All non-essential travel and meetings have been postponed. In our California location the majority of sales, accounting and procurement staff will be working remotely. In a digitally connected world, we look forward to continuing to support our clients and suppliers via Skype, email, and phone.

We hope you and your loved ones, friends and colleagues are all in good health and good spirits during these unprecedented times. Our senior leadership team remains vigilant and is monitoring the situation in real-time and responding rapidly as conditions evolve. All of us at AEP extend our gratitude to the millions of healthcare workers, first responders and others on the front lines fighting the COVID-19 virus. Their selflessness reminds us of all the good in humanity.
